ATLANTIC CITY/ THE BORGATA — The 54th annual AtlantiCare Foundation Century Club Gala was held at the BORGATA last night, May 4, 2013.
More than 700 people attended the Gala, which benefited programs and services of AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center. The AtlantiCare Foundation exists to improve the health and well being of the community “through a comprehensive development program to support safe, equitable, quality healthcare, and to promote healthy behaviors”.
Proceeds from the 2013 Century Club Gala benefit the following AtlantiCare programs and services:
Healthy Schools, Healthy Children
The Healthy Schools, Healthy Children program works with area schools to create and sustain healthy school environments. By providing resources and programming around healthy lifestyles, we help schools to ensure that their students are healthy and ready to learn.
Growing Green empowers the community to take charge of its health by offering funds, resources, and education around the creation of access points for fresh, healthy food. By creating school and community gardens (33 to date in our service area), our community is making healthier food choices while simultaneously beautifying open spaces in our neighborhoods and schools.
The Healing Arts Program recognizes the role of the arts in the creation of beauty and serenity within a health care setting. By integrating the arts, we visibly demonstrate our intent to create a healing presence within our community.
